At Kolenda Kennels we only breed with the German “a”2 or OFA good or better. This is the highest standard used by any kennel in North America. It is scientifically known that if all dog’s were bred to this high standard, it would reduce the chance of hip dysplasia immensely. As a buyer you should always ask about hip certification.
Kolenda Kennels is inspected by Allegan County Animal Control Annually and is State Licensed.
Kolenda Kennels is in the elite group of the few Professional German Shepherd Breeders that show their dogs in the North American, and USA Sieger shows. Sieger Shows are a requirement to comply to the German standards for breeders. These shows are where they bring in the German judges, breed wardens and koermeisters. Kennels compete for breed ratings that improve the breed. This has to be done under German Regulations.
